Good Morning Lyman Family,
Last night at the board meeting, in a 6 to 2 vote the board of education voted to reinstate the mandatory masking rule for entry into our school building. We will resume mandatory masking when students return to the school on Tuesday.
We want to thank all of the parents that came to the board meeting last night to put in your input on the situation.

Good afternoon Lyman Family,
Due to an influx of Covid Cases and close contacts, we will be going into remote learning for the next three school days. Those days are Thursday and Friday April 22, and 23rd. Also Monday April 26th (already a scheduled remote learning day). The district at this time has 6 active cases in our student population. There are many close contacts that we have had that we are sorting through.
That being said with going remote we will be cancelling our events that we would be attending through Monday , April 26. We will be back in session on Tuesday April 27th. The remote learning closure will be temporarily and align with our Covid Response Plan that was developed last summer.

Good Evening Lyman Family,
This weekend if your child attended prom there was potential exposure to Covid-19. We have had Lyman students test positive for the virus on both Monday and today. The district worked steadfast to make sure to quarantine known close contacts. That being said, with the nature of Covid-19 and how it is spread, we cannot guarantee that just because you were not named a close contact that you were not exposed. If your child has any cold like symptoms including but not limited to: Sneezing, Coughing, Sore Throat, Congestion, Runny Nose, Diarrhea, Body Aches, loss of taste or smell, or Fever, please keep them home and get them tested for Covid-19 as soon as possible.
We strongly recommend the use of a mask while attending school to help limit the spread of the Covid-19 Virus.

The year is coming to a close! Recall all the fun memories made this year by pre-ordering a 2020-2021 yearbook for $35. Or if you’d rather think back to a time before the pandemic, you can purchase a copy of the 2019-2020 yearbook or any other previous year for $30. Place an order by bringing your payment to the front office of the high school or elementary.

The Middle School Track meet scheduled for Monday in Gregory has been cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.

The track team will not be attending the meet in Gettysburg tomorrow.

Good morning Raider family,
This is an update on our Covid Masking plan.
Last night at our monthly board meeting, students gave a presentation to the board of education and asked for the last 5 weeks to not be required to use a mask.
After much debate, the board of education fielded a motion to repeal the mask portion of the Covid Response plan. In a roll call vote, the motion passed 7 to 2.
Going forward masks will be recommended but not required for all students and staff.
Thank you all for your continued support.
